Corrections and Source Updates
How to report a broken official link, changed portal workflow or inaccurate fact in a nursing-license guide.
Substantively reviewed 2026-08-13
Report a problem
Email corrections@nursinglicenselookup.com with the page URL, the statement or link that appears wrong, and the current primary source that supports the correction. Do not include a nurse's name, license number, date of birth, Social Security number or private records.
What we review
- Official portals that moved, closed or changed their search fields.
- Agency phone, address or office-hour changes.
- Nursys participation or verification-process changes.
- Compact membership, effective dates and residence guidance.
- Credential ownership moving between agencies.
- Fees and agency-published processing estimates.
What we cannot correct
We cannot change an official license record, remove a disciplinary order, determine employability or resolve a missing registry entry. Contact the agency named in the guide for corrections to the source record.
How we test a reported change
- Open the exact page and reproduce the reported problem.
- Locate the responsible agency’s current replacement or instruction.
- Check whether the change affects one link, one credential or the state’s broader routing.
- Update the structured source and every statement that depended on it.
- Run content, HTML, canonical, accessibility and internal-link checks before publishing.
What changes the review date
A moved official portal, new regulator, changed compact posture or corrected factual explanation is substantive and updates the page review date. Spelling, spacing and visual-polish changes do not. The date is a research record, not a marketing badge.
